Yuto Nagatomo is one of the most famous Japanese footballer who plays as a defender for Serie A club Internazionale.
Early life
He was born in Ehime and he started playing football when the first grade elementary school. But he failed receive a selection of Ehime FC Junior youth when six years old. So he entered Saijo Tatsukita junior high school. And he entered East Fukuoka high school. He was selected as regular member when he was an eleventh grades student. Then you may think that he must have had talent for soccer. However, he was not selected as the regular member for a regional tournament, so he was not famous. So he enrolled at Meiji University in the designated school recommendation. He had a hard time, but he made an effort desperately. As a result, after he entered university, he could leave much result.
FC Tokyo
In 2008, Nagatomo officially signed with FC Tokyo, while he was in Meiji University. Although he can play the across backline, the versatile Nagatomo has been used mainly on the left side. In 2009, He was awarded the J.League Best Eleven as Personnel awards. He was elected a member of Olympic player in 2008. In July 2010, he transferred to A.C. Cesena. Nagatomo has scored 6 goals in 84 matches in his four years at FC Tokyo.
A.C.C esena
Nagatomo received back number “5” which he wanted because his nickname is gorilla. He started full the opening game as Cesena’s left back and did all eighteen games till Christmas holidays. At the beginning of 2011, it ended his consecutive-game streak in Cesena due to take part in AFC Asian Cup. He helped Japanese team to win the championship. After that, he returned to Italy. The end of the Mercato, January 31, he went to Milano in order to negotiate with Internazionale and becoming a first East Asian player to sign with them.
Internazionale
In this team, he wearing number 55. He entered the game against Roma as a substitute for Juventus at first time. The game against Genoa, he made first goal and showed performance “Ozigi”. On 25 February 2013, he injured his left leg, but he came back the end of season. This year, he got Asian Footballer of the Year and recorded his best result that 5 goals and 6 assists. In 2014, he participated in FIFA World Cup. And he was elected the vice-captain. But 2015, he couldn’t join in the position fight because of Inter reinforced side back. He offered many team in Italy or any other country. However he rejected them, and he wanted to remain in Inter. His wish was accepted, but he was in many difficult situation. However he continued to make effort, at last his effort was recognized. He signed with Inter till Jun, 2019.

His speed, stamina, such as the strength of the trunk, the physical plane is, of course, first-class.
